This is sure a sad image of the child violinist in 1941 Warsaw in front of a locked door. These children were locked out of their childhood.

A haunting image! That was a rough time and place to be a child. My windows are posted.
My stepfather lost his entire family, survived three years in the camps, had a number tatooed onto his forearm, and lived to emigrate to the US, marry very well and live a long and happy life. You never know how life will turn out, do you?
