Window Views and doors too!

A bright beautiful day in the Bronx, N.Y.

This apartment building is located on East Gun Hill Road and Putnam Place.

East Gun Hill Road is dominated by large apartment buildings on the north side of the street, and on the south side, by the Montefiore Hospital complex, established in 1913.

The architectural details tell me the architects took great pride in building these utilitarian apartment buildings years ago.

Mr. Linky is there for you to sign and then leave a comment.

Thank you so much for participating in Window Views and doors too!
Don't forget to visit other participants...

Wohoo I am first! Great architectural design. I am very thankful that we still can see some of this building where demolition are very rampant now a days. Thanks for sharing and mine is up. ^_^

Keep 'em coming teach. I love looking at these buildings in NY and I dunno if I ever get another chance to visit.

Have a great day from stormy California.

Love all those details on those old buildings. Maybe it's cliche, but they don't build them like they used to...

I wish builders still had that kind of pride. Maybea few still do but not the ones building on subdivisions near where I live.

Back in the las century, they had time to decorate windows with stone. Great find!

What beauties, Mary! I love the bottom one with the faux terrace and iron rails. The details in the architecture are wonderful.

NYC and the surrounding boroughs have architecture that astounded me, even as a child, when visiting my grandparents.

Beautiful buildings ! I hadn't noticed that when we went through with a tourist bus, lol ! but at that time I wasn't yet interested in photography either. More by the history of the Bronx

I've not participated for a while and like the new look here. My views today are looking THROUGH windows rather than 'at' them.
Hugs and blessings,

Visiting (or living in) New York City has many benefits, not the least of which is beautiful details on old buildings. I love that stuff. Glad you caught a great day for photos.
