This attractive house and winner of the Queensmark Award in College Point, N.Y. has always impressed me because of the splendid architectural details, particularly the windows. The upper floors sit at wonderful and eye-catching angles to each other.
I added a touch of texture to enhance the sharpness of the photos. It was a dull, overcast day when I took the shots.
Visiting others who participate in the Window Views meme is an act of kindness. :)

I like this place! I'm not generally a big fan of the mansard roof, but the way it's wrapped around the vertical "tower" here it seems like the natural choice. Like the "nautical" feel of the design.
You're right - those are great windows - nice capture!
Very majestic to me, Mary enhance the color so well too.
Mine is up WVD:Old Restaurant
I like the grainy effect. It gives the photo a sort of "newspaper" authority.
I like the variety of window styles on this house. Very nice captures.
Love the architecture. I bet there are tons of interesting nooks and crannies inside, too!
I love old houses. They are a lot of work to maintain (I grew up in a 1905 house and live in one built in 1917), but I love the charm. It would be fun to have that top bedroom.
You did nicely with the photos, despite the overcast day.
this is lovely with the texture added
what a delightful looking house. I bet the views from those top windows has changed a lot since it was built!
Great shots of the old houses! Love the sail boat weather vane atop the tower.
Splendid architecture. I liked the variety in the windows.
I always am attracted to Tudor windows styles. You have so much to offer to the world with your photographic blog.
Happy New Year!
That looks very nice, must be romantic to sleep up there !
Love this building. Would love to be able to visit there some day. Great post Mary.
