The windows of the Woolworth Building, New York City

The Woolworth Building, at 57 stories, is one of the oldest—and one of the most famous—skyscrapers in New York City. More than 95 years after its construction, it is still one of the fifty tallest buildings in the United States as well as one of the twenty tallest buildings in New York City. The building is a National Historic Landmark, having been listed in 1966.

Alrighty now, sign Mr. Linky and leave a comment, okay?

What a great building. Love all the ornate detail, such that one never finds on modern buildings. Your post reminds me of the Woolworth's store in my city center growing up - no longer exists, now a fancy men's clothing store instead.

They sure don't build 'em like that anymore! Nice shooting Mary!

These windows are made so beautiful by the interesting intricate design around the top of each one! Almost cathedral like in the shape!

I've been to this old building. It's windows are an excellent choice. Lovely perspective! I shared my windows earlier at Small Reflections and left my link here but Blogger kept giving me error messages when I tried to comment. Hope whatever was causing the problem is resolved now.
Hugs and blessings,

The stone work around the grand old windows is amazing! We certainly don't see much of that workmanship anymore.

That looks like quite an old building. My uncle was general manager of Woolworth in Frankfurt, lol. I think the Woolworth shops all closed down know at least in Germany.
